Chapter 1002: Consensus
Chapter 1002: Consensus
"But you did just that." Sophie Wilson looked at Charles Seymour amusingly, it was rare to see him in such an uncomfortable moment. It’s truly not easy, even he knows shyness.
"Next time you do something for me, if I don’t know about it, you have to tell me," Sophie Wilson "demanded" assertively, "otherwise, if you’re good to me and I don’t know it, I won’t be happy."
"If I did something and didn’t tell you, would you also be unhappy?" Sophie Wilson asked.
Charles Seymour froze for a moment, then quickly nodded, "You have to tell me."
"Mmhmm, I will." Sophie Wilson said with a smile, "Alright, let’s eat!"
Charles Seymour nodded, just picking up his chopsticks when a piece of rib was placed into his bowl. He looked up, meeting Sophie Wilson’s smiling face.
"Yeah, you standing up for me makes me really happy." Sophie Wilson said with a smile while cradling her bowl, "I’m so incredibly happy, my man cares about me so much, standing up for me, I’m extraordinarily, extraordinarily, extraordinarily happy."
Sophie Wilson used "extraordinarily" three times, nodding heavily, to show how happy she was.
A faint smile also appeared on Charles Seymour’s lips as he put a fish ball into Sophie Wilson’s bowl. Her happiness made his world sunny and bright.
"See, if you tell me things, I can share the happiness with you. Don’t you agree?" Sophie Wilson highlighted how correct her suggestion was with facts.
This time, Charles Seymour had no hesitation and nodded affirmatively, "Okay."
His goal was to make Sophie happy, as long as she was happy, why wouldn’t he do so?
From now on, tell Sophie everything.
The two of them reached a consensus on this matter, bringing their hearts closer through this process of blending.
While their relationship was growing, Benjamin Walton received a call from James Reed, "Benjamin, I saw the video online, Charles Seymour strikes quite ruthlessly."
James Reed’s words carried a hint of schadenfreude—would Sophie Wilson not see Charles Seymour’s true nature, as someone who does things so ruthlessly, over time?
By then, it would be his chance.
Of course, that’s a matter for later; he should first focus on the current situation.
"So, have you started taking action on your side?" James Reed asked.
"Naturally," Benjamin Walton replied with a smile, "How could I miss such a good opportunity?"
He had endured for so many years, finally about to rise above.
"By the way, how’s the one at your place doing? Been almost a month, any progress?" Benjamin Walton teased, "I’m still waiting to drink at your wedding."
"That depends on my dad’s situation. If he doesn’t push me, I absolutely can’t forget Ophelia," James Reed said with a laugh, "My side is inefficient, unlike you, who can make Emerie Wilson obediently transfer her shares to you."
"Don’t say that. I’ve spent over twenty years on this," Benjamin Walton lamented, "Looking back, I can’t help but sigh. How did I manage to persist for so long?"
"In any case, the outcome is good," James Reed consoled.
Benjamin Walton laughed contentedly, "It’s only because of the outcome today that I can feel a bit at ease. Otherwise, I really would’ve been stifled to death."
After laying all cards on the table, Benjamin Walton and James Reed truly opened up in their conversation.
After all, finding someone similar is rare. Besides, carrying so much baggage, they also wanted to vent a little.
