Chapter 401 - 400: What Kind of Couple Are You

Bella Acker finished washing the dishes and went to the bedroom to get a coat, while Damian Sinclair had also cleaned up everything.

Bella Acker tiptoed at the entrance to reach the fluffy slippers on top of the shoe cabinet. She jumped for a while but couldn’t reach them. "Putting them so high is just bullying."

"Little girl," Damian teased in a low voice near her ear, effortlessly reaching up to get the fluffy slippers and placing them on the ground.

Warm breath enveloped her ear, and Bella’s face turned red as she hunched her shoulders, putting on the fluffy slippers. "I don’t want to wear shoes; I’ll just go out in these fluffy slippers."

"Okay." Damian put on a pair of casual shoes and said, "We’re just walking around the neighborhood, not going out."

"Huh? Not going out?" Bella tilted her head to look at him. She thought, if they’re not going out, then she really can’t have ice cream.

Seeing her thoughts, Damian gently flicked her forehead and said, "Don’t even think about the ice cream anymore."

Bella pouted and followed him out the door.

A gust of cold wind hit them as soon as they left the warm house. Damian pressed the elevator button and turned to hold her hand, "Are you cold?"

"No." Bella shook her head.

"Not happy?" Damian tilted his head to look at her.

Bella pursed her lips, "No."

Damian sighed, sometimes this little woman was just like a child.

"Alright, but you can only have two bites at most." Damian compromised, "It’s cold, eating too much could upset your stomach."

"Yay!" Bella instantly cheered up and hugged his arm, "Damian, you’re the best."

Seeing her so happy, Damian smiled too.

The elevator arrived, and there were two other people inside, looking like a couple.

As Bella entered, she thought the couple in the elevator looked familiar, and then she remembered they were the pair who had helped her with the door when she visited Damian’s apartment the other day.

Bella nodded at them and smiled, "Thanks for your help last time."

The couple obviously recognized Bella too. It was hard not to remember a ’rich person’ who only lived in villas and hadn’t lived in an apartment, especially since not much time had passed.

"It was nothing," the girl replied with a smile, moving a little closer to Bella and glancing at Damian, she asked quietly, "Is this your boyfriend?"

Bella glanced at Damian too, then nodded with a smile, "Yes."

"Wow, so the heartthrob of our building is your boyfriend!" The girl was a bit excited, "Let me tell you, lots of women in our building are eyeing your boyfriend, some even take turns riding the elevator just to bump into him. But your boyfriend seems to leave early and come back late, so there’s hardly a chance to meet him."

"He’s pretty busy with work." Bella smiled, thinking this man attracts attention everywhere.

The girl winked, "So, is that why you two are in that kind of relationship?"

"What kind of relationship?" Bella was puzzled.

"Well, look, your boyfriend works, but you’re still in school, right? Middle school or high school? That kind of..." The girl’s words were cut off as her boyfriend pulled her away.

The girl, suppressed by her boyfriend, couldn’t gossip further.

Bella was embarrassed, and by then, the elevator had reached the first floor.

Bella thought for a moment, then explained, "I’ve actually started working; I just look young."

The girl: "..." The elevator doors closed, and the couple went to the basement level to get their car.

Bella and Damian walked out, muttering, "I wonder if there’s a way to look older."
