Chapter 1152: Let’s Pick a Date and Hold the Wedding
Summer Sutton felt awkward, so to avoid making the situation more uncomfortable, she agreed to switch places with Ryan Walyon.
Ryan Walyon was squeezed next to Ariella Sawyer.
His face, seemingly, stiffened a little more.
Watt Bennet pretended not to see anything, elegantly eating his meal with a knife in one hand and a fork in the other.
He isn’t one to seek the spotlight, neither in the past as Adrian Walyon nor now.
Since he returned using the name Watt Bennet, he has never voluntarily displayed his private life to outsiders.
However, today, perhaps deliberately,
while Jimmy Evans was present, he openly showcased his affection.
"Remember the garden I gave you last time, do you think it needs any more care?" Watt Bennet asked amidst eating.
"No, it’s a bit extravagant to use the land just for flowers, but otherwise, I think it’s pretty good," Summer Sutton replied.
"Do you like the current setup?" Watt Bennet asked again.
"Yes, I do," Summer Sutton replied truthfully.
"How about we have our wedding in the garden?" Watt Bennet asked again.
Summer Sutton didn’t think much of his previous sentences at first.
Upon hearing this one, she realized Watt Bennet was intentionally saying it for Ryan Walyon to hear.
He wanted Ryan Walyon to know, whether as the former Adrian Walyon or with Summer Sutton, they could only belong to him!
Although the two had gotten married once, they had never had a wedding ceremony.
The sudden mention of it surprised Summer Sutton, and her eating slowly came to a halt.
Ryan Walyon’s expression turned cold; his fingers tightened around his dining knife, as if he was holding something back.
Summer Sutton was lost in thought after Watt Bennet’s words for quite a while.
Watt Bennet had never brought up the wedding matter with her before...
It’s true he hadn’t mentioned it, but buying such a large piece of land solely for garden use, his initial intention was for conveniently hosting a wedding.
"If there are no objections, let’s pick a date when we get back! The weather’s great for a wedding now; it’s neither too hot nor too cold." He concluded, burying himself in his meal silently.
Ryan Walyon seemed dazed after Watt Bennet’s words, his hand pausing with the dining knife still in grip.
Ariella Sawyer subtly turned her head, watching him quietly, feeling indescribably uneasy inside.
Actually, the outcome between Ryan Walyon and Summer Sutton was obvious to outsiders.
Unrequited love, like hers for him, would never yield an outcome.
Yet, everyone has the right to pursue love; he seemingly hasn’t done anything wrong.
Ryan Walyon remained silent for quite a while after Watt Bennet’s words.
After ten minutes of silence, he slowly lifted his face.
"She is still one of the Walyons!" Ryan Walyon reminded him coldly.
"Ex-husband deceased, marriage automatically annulled," Watt Bennet replied nonchalantly.
"What can you give her?" Ryan Walyon asked again.
"I can give her what she currently needs the most." Watt Bennet’s tone remained unchanged.
He actually knows very well that Summer Sutton being with him requires nothing from him.
What she has always wanted is just him!
Ryan Walyon remained silent after Watt Bennet’s words.
Ryan doesn’t know what it is that Summer Sutton needs the most.
The dinner was filled with awkwardness throughout.
Summer Sutton worried the two brothers might argue again, she urged Watt Bennet to eat, "Hurry up and eat, didn’t you say you’d take me around later?"
