Chapter 15 Arcade
Chapter 15 Arcade
Compared to sketching from life, clay work requires a little patience, but only a little.
After the two sat down, the staff gave them several templates to choose from. In the end, Chen Yuan chose the tiger-shaped DIY, while Zhang Jianjian chose the puppy.
The reason it's called DIY is not simply because you sculpt the animal shapes, but also because you need to sculpt the corresponding matching parts, such as the bases for the tiger and the puppy.
As for appearance, it just needs to be passable.
Following the template provided by the staff, Chen Yuan tried it step by step. Although it was not easy at first and there were problems when assembling the parts he sculpted, fortunately he could still make out an outline.
This was the first time he had ever made one, while Zhang Jianjian, sitting opposite him, was much more focused and soon had already made a puppy, and then started making a second puppy.
Chen Yuan glanced at her puppy, then at his tiger, shook his head, and said that would be enough.
This challenge took two hours, and by the time the two stopped, the clock on the wall had already struck two in the afternoon.
"Is this all right?" Zhang Jianjian asked the staff member next to him.
She sculpted two puppies and a doghouse.
"The sculpture is very lifelike; it doesn't look like something a beginner would do," the staff member said with a smile.
"And what about mine?" Chen Yuan admired his work.
The staff looked at his tiger and the rudimentary cave, smiled awkwardly, and said, "It's not bad either; at least you can tell it's a tiger."
"..."
"puff!"
"Isn't this a lion?" Zhang Jianjian looked at the abstract tiger and chuckled.
"Didn't you see the 'king' character on his forehead?" Chen Yuan retorted, unconvinced.
"It's a good thing it has the character 'king' in it, otherwise it wouldn't even be associated with a tiger." Zhang Jianjian was speechless.
The two of them didn't take the clay shop's creations with them this time; instead, they left them at the clay shop as part of their show's guest program.
As for whether it will appreciate in value, Chen Yuan was rather curious.
As we left the clay shop, the sun was high in the sky. Theoretically, they had another event planned: a photo shoot that evening.
"Are we just going to wait around until tonight?" Chen Yuan asked in surprise.
In that case, will he still be able to get first place?
"Yes, it's timed, so it doesn't affect the final score," Zhang Jianjian explained, then looked at the map in his hand. "There's an arcade nearby, want to check it out?"
"Arcade?"
"Let's go." Chen Yuan also wanted to find something to kill time. Sitting in the coffee shop was pleasant but also boring.
"Mmm-hmm." Zhang Jianjian looked excited. She had never played video games before. "Teach me how to play video games later."
Chen Yuan was somewhat surprised to hear this and asked, "You've never played it before?"
Zhang Jianjian shook his head, "I've never played it, but I've seen it in movies all the time."
"Oh, right. Although it's called childhood, it's mostly boys' childhood," Chen Yuan said. He recalled rarely seeing girls in the arcade.
To be precise, it's an arcade, because arcades these days are different; there are quite a few girls there.
"What games did you play when you were little?" Zhang Jianjian asked curiously.
"Hide-and-seek? Going up and down mountains or into rivers, or playing marbles or something like that." Chen Yuan thought for a moment and then recounted his childhood memories.
Zhang Jianjian's beautiful eyes sparkled as she listened intently, exclaiming, "How wonderful, so free and unrestrained!"
This conversation between the two drew in the viewers of the live stream, and the chat was filled with comments about various childhood games.
Since the five live stream rooms were split up, the production team has found it unbelievable that Zhang Jianjian and Chen Yuan's live stream rooms have consistently had the highest number of viewers since the show started.
The peak number of viewers was over five million, and it has now stabilized at over four million. The second place is the live stream of Lin Wanxing and Jiang Yichen, which also has over two million viewers.
The other three groups of guests also had more than one million viewers.
Among the guests on the "Heartbeat for Thirty Days" show, there are only two singers: female guest Lin Wanxing and male guest Jiang Yichen.
At this moment, the two happen to be in the same group, and fans from both sides are already creating moments of CP (couple pairing) between the two.
Before long, Chen Yuan and Zhang Jianjian arrived at the resort's arcade.
Both of them were prepared for the door not to be opened, but they didn't expect that there was a staff member guarding it at this time.
"It seems the production team spent a lot of money to book the entire resort!" Chen Yuan exclaimed.
Zhang Jianjian seemed to be deep in thought, then suddenly remembered something and asked, "Which company do you work for?"
"White Night Entertainment," Chen Yuan replied.
"Oh, that makes sense. No wonder you're in it too. I heard from my agent that this show is a joint production of several entertainment companies," Zhang Jianjian said.
"Huh?" Chen Yuan was taken aback for a moment, then said, "I see."
He probably knows why he was chosen. Besides meeting the requirements for a loser, another factor was probably that the company had a spot available.
"Let's go play video games!" Zhang Jianjian couldn't wait and went into the arcade first.
The next moment, she saw the dance machine by the door and exclaimed in surprise, "This is the dance machine! Chen Yuan, come teach me how to play!"
"..."
"Just follow the arrows and step on them." Chen Yuan walked in, looked at the dance machine in front of him, and explained from the side. As for dancing, he definitely wouldn't dance.
Although he felt that his personality had changed a lot since he came to the show, he couldn't bring himself to dance in front of the live camera.
"Oh, okay, I'll give it a try. You go buy the coins." Zhang Jianjian was eager to try.
Upon hearing this, Chen Yuan asked a nearby waiter for game tokens. He returned shortly with a basket of tokens and put five tokens into the dance machine.
With a ding-dong sound, the dance machine displayed the song selection interface.
"What song do you want to choose?" Chen Yuan asked.
"Let me see." Zhang Jianjian leaned over, scrolling through the song selection screen, and finally chose a dance track. "Dancing definitely needs dance music!"
The dance machine suddenly announced, "Countdown begins, please stand on the stage and get ready!"
"Okay." Zhang Jianjian stood back on the stage. She had seen this kind of dance machine in movies several times and roughly knew how to play it.
As the countdown ended and the song's rhythm began, arrows rose up on the screen.
"here we go!"
Seeing this, Zhang Jianjian awkwardly started to move, and at first he was a bit flustered and made a series of mistakes.
Chen Yuan watched from the side. He was sure he would be embarrassed to stand on it, but he couldn't deny that watching others play was a form of appreciation.
"Game over, score 36."
When the song ended, the dance machine gave a score, and Zhang Jianjian looked indignant.
"Again, one more time, Chen Yuan, insert the coin!" she urged, her face full of resentment.
"Let's keep it simple this time," Chen Yuan said, inserting game coins and then selecting a beginner's song.
"Countdown begins, please stand on the stage and get ready!"
"I'll definitely pass this time!" Zhang Jianjian said earnestly, his feet moving in sync with the rhythm of the song.
Chen Yuan was somewhat surprised. It seemed that the beginner difficulty level made sense. This time, he did jump quite well, hitting all the beats, and his movements were no longer random but were becoming more rhythmic.
The live stream chat was filled with comments, creating a pleasant atmosphere.
