He Yuehua didn't say anything. The two of them helped Dr. Lin into his room and helped him lie down. He Yuehua also sat on the bed, panting.
It took her a lot of effort to help Dr. Lin up the elevator by herself.
Lin's mother felt sorry for her son and called him several times, but he wouldn't wake up. She said to He Yuehua with some concern, "Yuehua, A-Jian drank so much, won't he get alcohol poisoning?"

"Don't worry, if Ah Jian dares not to marry you or treats you badly, we will teach him a lesson."
He Yuehua smiled and said, "Thank you, Auntie."
“Auntie, it’s late, I’ll go home first. If Dr. Lin can’t get up tomorrow morning, there’s no need to wake him. Let him get some sleep. We’ll be watching over the clinic, so don’t worry.”
She studied medical theory. Although she was just a nurse, she had worked at the Lin family clinic for so many years. Dr. Lin wasn't completely indifferent to her; he had taught her some things. Usually, when Dr. Lin wasn't at the clinic, people would come to see him.
She would also practice treating patients, and she never made a mistake. As long as she diagnosed the illness correctly and used the right medicine, the patient could be cured.
"It's so late. It's not safe for a girl like you to go home alone. Why don't you stay here for the night instead?"
Lin's mother earnestly urged, "Ah Jian, there are rooms available here as well."
Dr. Lin's house has four bedrooms and two living rooms. He lives in one room, another room is used as his study, and there are two guest rooms. His parents stay in one of the guest rooms when they come to visit.
There is one empty guest room.
He Yuehua feigned hesitation and said, "Isn't that a bit inappropriate? If people find out I stayed overnight at Dr. Lin's place, they'll start gossiping."
"No matter what others say, you and A-Jian will get married sooner or later, and you'll be husband and wife. This will be your home. You're just staying in your own home for one night in advance. What's the big deal?"
My son is so drunk, there's nothing I can do.
Even if He Yuehua were allowed to stay overnight, the two would still be completely innocent.
"Yuehua, stay here. If something happens to you on your way back, I will feel guilty for the rest of my life. If Ajian wakes up and finds out, he will blame me for not keeping you here."
Lin's mother persuaded He Yuehua to stay.
One reason was that she was worried about He Yuehua's safety going home alone. Another reason was that she was worried that her son would vomit later, and she couldn't take care of him by herself, after all, she was getting old and didn't have that much physical strength.
The old man was sleeping like a log; you couldn't wake him up no matter how hard you tried.
It's better to keep He Yuehua; if anything happens to her son, at least someone will lend a hand.
At Lin's mother's urging, He Yuehua stayed.
Lin's mother's worries were not unfounded. Not long after, Dr. Lin did vomit. He first said he was thirsty and wanted to drink water.
He Yuehua poured him a glass of water, helped him up and drank half of it, then he suddenly felt nauseous and vomited all over the floor.
Fortunately, He Yuehua reacted quickly and didn't get vomited all over herself or on the bed; she vomited all over the floor.
When Lin's mother saw her son vomit all over the floor, she instinctively covered her mouth and nose and walked out, because she couldn't stand seeing others vomit.
As soon as she stepped out of the room, Lin's mother also vomited. She covered her mouth and ran quickly to the bathroom, where she vomited violently.

I was hoping that Lin's mother would help tidy up and mop the floor, but I didn't expect that Lin's mother would vomit even more than Dr. Lin.

After He Yuehua finished cleaning up, she went to check on Lin's mother.
Lin's mother had stopped vomiting. She came out of the bathroom and sat on the sofa in the living room, looking like she was about to die. She had even vomited bile.
"Auntie, are you alright?"
He Yuehua walked over and asked with concern.
"I feel so nauseous. I can't stand seeing those things. I feel like throwing up as soon as I see them. It's even worse than when I was pregnant."
"How is Ah Jian?"
Despite vomiting violently, Lin's mother still managed to ask about her son's condition.
"Dr. Lin is asleep again. Luckily, he didn't get the bed dirty. I've cleaned the floor."
Lin's mother held He Yuehua's hand and thanked her again.
He Yuehua could only lie down and rest for a while after 3 a.m.
Lin's mother went into her son's room to check on him and made sure he wouldn't vomit again before she went back to her room to rest.
Lin's father woke up groggily and asked her, "Did you drink a lot of water before bed? You keep getting up at night."

"Has Ah Jian not returned yet?"
After Lin's father learned that He Yuehua had gone to the bar to pick up his son, he stopped worrying and went to sleep. He really didn't know when his son returned.

Lin's father said, "I advised A-Jian a long time ago, and he knows what choice to make."
The fact that his son's rival was too powerful dealt a heavy blow to his son. Lin's father knew that his son had given up on Dr. Zeng, and his son's attitude towards Yuehua had become much gentler in the past two days.
