Chapter 1089: At Home with Revenge
Chapter 1089: At Home with Revenge
"What the hell are you talking about?" Of course Hayley Cole wouldn’t admit it. She hadn’t done it at all, how could she possibly agree to Sophie Wilson’s slander?"Hayley Cole, I never thought you’d be this vicious, actually hiring someone to kidnap Lucy Wells. Fine, you, just you wait!" Sophie Wilson completely ignored Hayley Cole’s questioning, pointing at her and scolding sharply.
"Sophie Wilson, are you out of your mind?" Hayley Cole panicked. Sure, this was a villa district, no one would come outside to gawk, but all the neighbors could watch from inside their homes, not to mention the security guards. How was she supposed to face people in the future?
"You know perfectly well what you’ve done!" Sophie Wilson let out a cold laugh, then turned around to get into the car.
Hayley Cole hurried a few steps and rushed over. "Sophie Wilson, you make yourself clear!"
"Make it clear? Sure!" Sophie Wilson wasn’t afraid of Hayley Cole at all. "You haven’t forgotten about going to that bar to find someone to ’deal with’ Lucy, have you?"
"I was just..."
"You dare say you never went to a bar to look for someone?" Sophie Wilson pressed her, aggressive and unrelenting.
"He never agreed to it at all!" Hayley Cole shouted angrily, "Are you going to let me finish or not?"
"So it’s true, you did go look for someone." That answer was already enough for Sophie Wilson.
"I said he didn’t agree!" Hayley Cole was about to be driven crazy by Sophie Wilson. "Are you deaf or what?"
"Whether I am or not, people will see the truth for themselves." Sophie Wilson sneered, got into the car, and Charles Seymour quickly drove off.
"Hey..." Hayley Cole was left with a face full of exhaust, so mad she could die, stomping her feet and cursing on the spot, "Sophie Wilson, you’re insane!"
"Hayley, what on earth was that about?" Charlotte Reed had caught the gist of it and asked in confusion.
"That damn Sophie Wilson!" Hayley Cole pointed in the direction Sophie’s car had driven off, stomping as she cursed, "That little bitch is accusing me of hiring someone to kidnap Lucy Wells!"
"Alright, alright, don’t get worked up..." Charlotte Reed hurried to comfort Hayley Cole. "You didn’t do it, she’s just talking nonsense."
"I’m going to sue her! I’m gonna sue her!" Hayley Cole yelled, unwilling to let it go.
"Okay, okay, we’ll sue her," Charlotte Reed coaxed quickly. "Let’s go inside and talk."
She really didn’t want to stand outside and embarrass herself with Hayley Cole. Better to hurry inside—couldn’t they talk about anything once they were indoors?
This Hayley Cole really had no sense of decorum at all.
The security guard from the complex glanced over and asked, "Mrs. Seymour, is everything okay here now?"
"Ah, it’s fine now, it’s fine. Thank you for making the trip," Charlotte Reed smiled and thanked him, quickly coaxing Hayley Cole inside.
On the surface she still maintained a proper smile, but inside she was already annoyed to death.
Most of the people in this villa district were from the business world, and that circle was small to begin with. Now this little scene would probably spread until everyone knew.
Once they left the villa district, Sophie Wilson couldn’t help bursting into laughter. "God, I seriously can’t wait to see how chaotic things are going to get in James Reed’s house later."
Her Mr. Seymour couldn’t care less about them, and yet they just kept jumping around. Did they really think she had the same good temper as her Mr. Seymour?
Sorry, if there’s one thing she’s mastered, it’s paying people back—tit for tat.
"Tell me, aren’t those rich wives who do nothing at home but play cards, get facials, and go shopping the most gossipy women ever?" Sophie Wilson asked Charles Seymour with a squinty smile, her eyes curving into pretty crescent moons from her good mood.
