Chapter 1074: Biological Son
Chapter 1074: Biological Son
Jerry Taylor seemed to think that wasn’t stimulating enough, so he added, "Do you know my daughter is already engaged and has a fiancé?""Young man, don’t act on impulse, that’s not your style." Jerry Taylor finished with a smile and was about to get out of the car when he heard Kellan Blake beside him say, "Engineer Taylor, I truly love your daughter!"
"There’s nothing that can be done about that." Jerry Taylor smiled, opened the door, and got out of the car.
Watching Jerry Taylor leave, Kellan Blake stroked his chin. Almost thirty years of living, and the first woman to capture his heart is already someone else’s fiancée.
Uh... this feeling, it’s not great.

"Daddy, eat this." Little Bao gently held a piece of egg with a small spoon, trying to bring it to Charles Seymour’s mouth.
The little arm wasn’t strong enough, and the egg was about to fall off the spoon.
Charles Seymour quickly grasped his son’s chubby little hand, guiding the spoonful of egg into his own mouth, chewing exaggeratedly: "Delicious."
The little boy’s big, bright eyes instantly curved into a beautiful crescent.
"Bao wants to eat too." Charles Seymour placed a piece of boneless fish in Bao’s spoon.
Bao looked at the fish on the spoon but didn’t eat it; instead, he lowered his head without speaking.
"What’s wrong, Bao?" Charles Seymour bent down, leaning closer to ask softly.
"Daddy, when will mommy come back?" Bao looked up, his big eyes shimmering, his eyes slightly red, "Bao misses mommy."
"Mommy will be back soon, at most, it won’t be more than a year, okay? Bao just wait a little longer, Daddy is trying hard." Charles Seymour looked seriously into Bao’s eyes, solemnly promising.
Bao nodded obediently, responding loudly: "Okay!"
"Good boy, Bao." Charles Seymour gently rubbed his son’s head with a smile and continued eating with Bao.
Bao was very well-behaved, focusing on eating by himself with the small spoon, without needing any coaxing.
Old Mrs. Seymour watched from the side, her heart aching.
After dinner, Old Mr. Seymour called Charles into the study, scolding him seriously: "Don’t promise things to Bao that you can’t fulfill. Just because he’s a child doesn’t mean you can casually fool him. They can be hurt too."
"I wasn’t fooling him." Charles Seymour replied.
"You weren’t fooling him?" Old Mr. Seymour got anxious, "You weren’t fooling him, then where are you going to find a mother for Bao? Are you talking about Sophie?"
"Are you planning to let Bao believe that Sophie is his biological mother? Do you think you can keep this secret from being exposed forever? Do you really think Bao won’t grow up and find out?"
Old Mr. Seymour looked at Charles with disappointment; it was the first time he had been so angry with his grandson.
Back when Charles suddenly showed up with a son, he felt something was off. After asking, he learned that Bao’s mother had passed away.
They didn’t press further to avoid bringing up painful memories for Charles, and at his request, they kept Bao a secret from everyone.
Until last summer, when Charles suddenly sent Bao to live with them, and then, there was Sophie Wilson.
"Charles, you have always been Grandpa’s pride, and he thought you were a stable person, but do you think not telling Sophie about Bao is right?" Old Mr. Seymour asked, "Are you worried Sophie won’t accept Bao? I think Sophie is a good girl, you..."
"Sophie will accept him." Charles Seymour replied, "Because Bao is Sophie’s biological son."
