Chapter 1125: You’re Going to Be a Dad
Chapter 1125: You’re Going to Be a Dad
Stella Charlie didn’t answer, just lowered her head and took out a medical report from her bag.Vincent Warner wasn’t experienced in this area either, looking at the report, he was still a bit confused: "Really?"
Stella: "Yes, you’re going to be a dad."
Receiving a confirmed answer, Vincent excitedly stood up and hugged Stella tightly: "Honey..."
The people dining around them all cast curious glances their way, making Stella feel a bit embarrassed as she patted his back and whispered: "Calm down, everyone’s watching us."
But Vincent didn’t mind, kneeling in front of Stella and holding her hand tightly, his voice slightly trembling: "Honey... thank you."
Stella chuckled: "There’s nothing to thank for. Quickly, sit back down."
Vincent glanced several times at Stella’s belly before reluctantly returning to his seat.
Seeing Vincent’s reaction, Stella couldn’t help but wonder if he would’ve stayed with her no matter what if she had told him about the pregnancy sooner.
When she first found out she was pregnant, Stella hesitated about going back to him because she wasn’t entirely sure Vincent would choose her and the baby.
At that time, Stella was very confused about the future and didn’t know what her life would be like.
Not wanting the child to live an unstable life after birth, she had no choice but to make that decision.
From that moment on, she was determined to completely let go of Vincent, to say goodbye to that past, and start a new life.
Perhaps regardless of her choice, nothing would’ve changed; he still wouldn’t have been able to alter his fate of an arranged marriage, only feeling more helpless and guilty.
Stella didn’t plan to tell Vincent about any of this; past matters shouldn’t become present worries. She just hoped their days ahead would keep getting better.
Vincent reduced a large portion of his workload to spend more time with Stella.
Yet Stella didn’t want to idle at home and continued to go to work as usual.
This resulted in Vincent becoming a "frequent visitor" at their company, showing up to see Stella whether he had a reason or not, and everyone at the company knew about their relationship.
Stella, who usually kept a low profile, couldn’t stand being the center of attention and constantly being watched, so she took a leave of absence and obediently stayed home to rest.
Vincent only attended essential meetings at the office, working from home most of the time, which allowed him to better accompany and take care of Stella.
Despite this, Stella only held on for a week before she couldn’t take it anymore.
"Honey."
Vincent looked up from his documents at her: "What’s wrong?"
Stella walked to his side, and Vincent reached out to pull her onto his lap: "Are you hungry? You barely touched your breakfast."
Stella shook her head and looked at the spring scenery outside the window: "The weather’s getting nicer lately. How about we go out for some fresh air?"
"Where do you want to go?"
"I haven’t decided yet, but I just want to go out and see the sights."
Vincent smiled indulgently: "Alright, let me finish reading these two reports and then I’ll plan something. It’s a good time to go out now before your belly gets too big."
Stella smiled, cuddling into his arms: "Then I’ll watch with you."
Vincent gently adjusted her position for comfort and replied tenderly: "Okay."
She seemed to have reverted to the girl who once relied on him and noticed that she had started to grow her hair long again.
"Stella, I’ll always be with you, to many, many places, seeing many, many different sights."
"Hmm?" Stella blinked and turned her head to tease him: "Why are you suddenly saying such strange things?"
Vincent didn’t answer, just lowered his head and kissed her.
They had almost missed each other, how fortunate they were to still hold each other at this moment.
Many more spring days like this would come.
