Chapter 1286 - 1281: Two Identical Sedans

"Mom, stop talking already, can’t a person watch TV in peace?" Sophia Hamilton grumbled impatiently, clearly not wanting to continue the topic.Juliana Lancaster understood her daughter’s thoughts and stood up, saying coldly, "Watch it yourself, I’m going to my room to rest!"

Watching her mother’s angry back, Sophia Hamilton stuck out her tongue and nestled on the sofa alone, continuing to kill time with soap operas.

At half past ten at night, Sophia Hamilton checked the time on her phone. Evander Lancaster had been gone for almost two hours...

Sophia Hamilton wrinkled her nose in dissatisfaction and put her phone back into the pocket of her plush pajamas, grabbed the remote, turned off the TV, and prepared to go to her room for rest.

With the baby bump, she didn’t dare stay up too late.

She stood up, stretched lazily, yawned while covering her mouth, and walked towards her bedroom.

After a few steps, "ding dong ding dong" sounded from behind.

Hearing the doorbell ring, Sophia Hamilton quickly ran over, her lips curled upwards; at this hour, there was no need to think—it was definitely a certain someone.

Reaching to grab the handle, she was about to twist it open when she suddenly stopped, took a breath, slightly raised her plain-looking face, and then twisted the door lock.

Seeing the man standing at the door, she asked indifferently, "What are you doing here so late?"

Though Sophia Hamilton acted aloof, she was pretending to inadvertently glance at the shopping bags Evander Lancaster was holding, filled with snacks enough for her to munch on for days.

"I bought some snacks; hope they’re to your taste," Evander Lancaster said as he entered, stepping down from his shoes into slippers, placing the large snack bags on the coffee table.

"Is Aunt resting?"

"Yeah, my mom’s asleep; it’s late, you should head back," Sophia Hamilton closed the door and walked over, still wearing a plain face with eyes lowered and chin raised, clearly uninterested in engaging with people.

Evander Lancaster...

He climbed five flights without an elevator, no chance to even pause, just being sent off; no one else would act like this little ungrateful one!

Raising a hand to rub Sophia Hamilton’s head, "You should rest early too, I’ll come pick you up tomorrow morning."

"No need, I have my own car." Sophia Hamilton impatiently brushed off Evander Lancaster’s hand without raising her eyelids.

Evander Lancaster shook his head helplessly, walked to the entrance, changed into his shoes, opened the door, and left.

As soon as the door closed, Sophia Hamilton immediately rushed to the coffee table, her aloof facade vanished and joy spread across her face.

She opened the shopping bags, looking at all sorts of small snacks inside; all her favorites and ones she couldn’t bear to splurge on. Carrying the two large bags, she went back to her bedroom, lips curled high.

Placing the bags at the corner of her bed, Sophia Hamilton lay on the bed, stroking her slightly rounded belly, talking to herself, "Baby, Daddy bought lots of goodies. It’s too late today; Mommy will feed you tomorrow..."

The next morning, after breakfast, Sophia Hamilton slung her crossbody bag over her shoulder and went downstairs to go to work. As she exited the building, she hesitated seeing the two sedans parked out front.

Both sedans of the same brand, nearly identical models, but Sophia Hamilton remembered Evander Lancaster’s license plate. The one parked next to his was Titus Zane’s reserved vehicle; the driver had told her yesterday after dropping her off that Madam instructed him to pick her up for office commuting.

Sophia Hamilton had refused at the time, but the driver said it was Madam’s instruction, and he only listened to Madam.

Looking at the two almost identical sedans, Sophia Hamilton hesitated for a moment before heading towards Titus Zane’s vehicle.
